Year 5 & 6 Football @ MUFC Premier League Tournament

Every team in the premier league hosts a tournament for local schools to enter. We took part in MUFC's tournament at The Cliff Training Ground along with 7 other schools. We lost our first game 6-0 and won the second game 2-1 with goals from Marcus and Kaylan Lee. This gave us a slim chance of progressing to the final, and after we took the lead in our final game with a stunning strike from Marcus we had a glimmer of hope. We went on to loose the game 3-1. After suffering such a defeat in the first game all pupils who took part should be proud of themselves for the hard work they put in to the subsequent games. Player of the tournament - Marcus.

We finished in joint 2nd place overall on points, and with the top 2 teams progressing through to the next stage baskets scored was taken into account. We had scored less baskets than the other team and therefore finished 3rd overall out of 10 teams. All pupils who took part should be extremely proud of themselves.
