World Music Day 2023

The whole school celebrated World Music Day on Thursday 22nd June.  We had a great day full of musical activities that included playing African Drums and Boomwhackers.  We listened to a variety of styles of music in our classrooms and then we finished the day with an afternoon concert where we got to watch some of our amazing children perform to the school!  The Year 5&6 Singing Club, Year 4 Ukulele Club and individual Year 6 children did a fantastic job sharing their musical passion and talent with the whole school.

All videos from the day are in the Video Resources section of the website.

Hi! Welcome to Holy Trinity's Music Page.

Music at Holy Trinity

At Holy Trinity, we provide as many opportunities for music making as possible, from singing in the classroom, to curriculum music lessons led by a music specialist teacher and after school clubs.

In our curriculum music lessons children are learning to use and develop their singing voices.  They are using their bodies as instruments and learning how to do body percussion.  Children in Y2 and 3 are also learning to play the ukulele!

We are always actively trying to expand our music provision, but here are some of the things we do now:

  • Singing assemblies
  • Y6 weekly Samba drumming
  • Y3 + 4 weekly recorder lessons
  • Class productions
  • Musicals
  • After-School singing clubs
