Geography Lesson 2.

Wednesday 13th January 2021.

Good afternoon Year 2!  For today's Geography lesson you will need the notes which you made last week on Africa.  Using these notes we would like you to create a fact file of information about the continent of Africa.   Please use the sheet in the Home Learning Pack which we sent home last week to complete today's lesson.  The fact file needs to include exciting information about Africa so that it is interesting for the reader to read.  Your writing needs to include full stops and capital letters, adjectives to describe the things which you will see in Africa and some expanded noun phrases so that your reader can build a picture in their mind of what Africa is really like.

Geography Lesson 1.

Today we would like you to use the information on the following websites to help you make some notes about the continent of Africa.

You will be using this information to help you to create a fact file about africa next week.  Think about the climate, what the weather is like - is it a hot or cold country?  Why is it hot or cold?  Think about where it is on the equator.  You will also need to listen carefully to the information to find out about the animals who live in Africa and the landmarks which you will see if you went to visit.  You can write your notes in your remote learning book and you may like to draw some pictures to illustrate your notes.
