Welcome to Nursery

Nursery H class teachers are named Ms Burton and Ms Dunlevy.

Nursery T class teachers are named Ms Marshall and Miss Edgar.

Important Information

Please send your child to school in a warm coat and a pair of sensible Velcro shoes. Your child will need a wet suit/puddle suit and a pair of wellies which will be kept in school. Please make sure your child’s name is in everything they bring to school.

Your child will also need a bag with a full set of spare clothes inside, including underwear. This is because we enjoy lots of messy play in Nursery so your child may need to get changed before going home.

On Friday your child will bring home a new sharing book in their reading bag. This is for you to enjoy with your child by looking at the pictures and talking about the rhyming words that they can hear. This links to our Phase 1 Phonics scheme that we teach in school each day. Please ensure your child returns this book every Wednesday.

New Nursery Starters September 2024

We hope you have received information sent in the post about your child's home visit and start date. Please do not worry if you do not have this we will send a text message to you detailing when the teachers will visit you and your child at home.

Home visits will take place over the first 2 weeks of September. When we come to visit the teachers will explain how our transition to Nursery will begin. Some children will attend in the mornings only and some for the afternoon only and then the groups will swap over. Providing your child is happy and settled they will then attend for the full day after this. 

We look forward to meeting you all in September.

Transition to Reception Parent Workshop
