Please make sure that your child has their reading book in school everyday and that you are listening to them read on a daily basis. Please make sure that once you have listened to your child read that you have signed their Reading Record book. This is so we know when their book needs to be changed. Reading books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays.
Homework will be sent home on a Friday. Each week your child will be given spellings to learn, they will be tested on these spellings on the following Friday. They will also be given phonics and maths homework which is linked to the work which they have been completing in class. Please return this to school by Wednesday.

Thank you for attending our parent meeting about Reading Eggs. We hope you will find it useful to support your child with their reading. Please speak to your class teacher if you need any help or advice regarding the Reading Eggs.
In Year 2, we have learnt lots about our emotions and how they can change. In our classroom, we have our very own emotional barometer. If we want to, we can move our picture into the different emotion boxes as a way of communicating to each other how we currently feel. We also understand the importance of the 6 Nurture Principles and have been learning about each one!
