The Year 6 Team
Welcome to Year 6!!
In Year 6, we appreciate teamwork. In the Y6 teams, we value respect, equality and resilience (not giving up when we find something difficult)! We enjoy working hard, having fun and we know that giving support is a great way to learn about ourselves and each other.
Leading the teams in Year 6, we have Mrs Harling and Mr Fielden. Working alongside them are Mr Elsworth and Miss Howard. Read on to find out more about each of the practitioners in these fantastic teams...
Mrs Harling, Teacher, 6H
Hello! I have been working at Holy Trinity for a very, very, very long time! I really enjoy teaching children especially in Year 6. My favourite food is cake although I do try to maintain a healthy diet and not eat too much! I really enjoy teaching History using primary sources of evidence. Together, we will have a great school year, making excellent progress and we will always work our socks off!!
Mr Fielden, Teacher, 6T
Mr Elsworth, Teaching Assisstant, 6H
Hello, I have worked in Holy Trinity for two years across KS2.
I am not from Manchester but moved here from a very rural town, so city living is still new and exciting for me.
I worked in the NHS for ten years before making the career move into education, and I have to say I am having a blast!
I love being outdoors exploring nature, and am usually found covered in mud down the bottom of the garden, whatever the weather. I am looking forward to learning and growing in knowledge with all the year 6 cohort.
Miss Howard, Teaching Assisstant, 6T
Hello! I am a teaching assistant in year 6. I joined Holy Trinity at the start of 2020, but I have worked for five years at a previous Manchester school. I am really looking forward to getting to know you all and supporting you with your Y6 learning journey. I am orginally from a small seaside town in the North West; I enjoy going back to visit for long walks along the coast. I have a pet cat called Ole, who is 14 years old, he loves nothing better than sleeping curled up by the fire and I like to join him with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book (my favourite at the moment is The Nowhere Emporium). I can't wait to share some exciting class texts with you and support you with your writing skills.
