WE ARE DESIGNERS...

This week, Year 5 have been working on their design skills by making model houses. We also needed the skills of measuring, time management and, of course team work and problem solving. We were really pleased with our finished products and some of us may be the architects and engineers of the future!

Who's behind the beard?

(Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!)

AUTHOR VISIT - DOMINIC BERRY

Today we have had a visit from poet, Dominic Berry - We did a workshop with him and created our own class poem to act out. We hope that you enjoy it!

Who is the hero to make winter soldier yield?

It is Captain America slinging his mighty sheild!

He is strong, he is brave,

He is REALLY FIT!

When he leaps to battle,

There is nothing he can't HIT!

He is living the dream,

Sprinting to adventures with the ultimate team,

Here are THE AVENGERS!

A big WELL DONE to Ayomide in 5H who has coloured and displayed his 'connect' posters to show that he belongs to our Holy Trinity community. We would love to see more of these! Email your photographs to y5@holytrinity.manchester.sch.uk - Let's see how many we can get up around Manchester! :)

SOME OF THIS WEEK'S WORK.....

WORLD BOOK DAY - Thursday 4th March 2021

Even though many of us won't be in school on Thursday, we would still like you to spend the day reading and completing book related activities. There are some ideas in your packs and others on the World Book Day website.

https://www.worldbookday.com/

We are also running a competition - in your packs there is a sheet with stars. Choose one of the activities and take a photograph of yourself completing it (not the one in the bath though!). Email your photograph to y5@holytrinity.manchester.sch.uk and the best one in each class will win a prize.
