Year 5

Meet the Year 5 team!

Welcome to Year 5! We are very excited to be the Year 5 team this year. The adults that will be working with the class are:-

5H class teacher - Miss Higginbottom

5T class teacher - Miss Mannion

Other adults supporting Year 5 - Mrs Malik, Mrs Johnson, Mr Roberts & Miss Quinn

In Autumn term, we are also lucky to be having PE lessons with Mr Dowling on Mondays.

We will also be having ukulele lessons on a Wednesday afternoon.

Homework in Year 5

We expect children to be reading regularly throughout the week with the expectation that they will be reading and quizzing on a minimum of one book per week (although we realise that long novels may take a little longer to finish and children may read several shorter books during a week!) 

Children can also read books on www.myon.co.uk - they should know their logins but please speak to the Year 5 team if there are any issues with this!

Maths and English will be sent home on a Friday to be returned the following Monday.

PE DAY

Please note that PE lessons this year, will be on a Monday. Your child will need to bring their PE kit. This is yellow or white plain t-shirt and blue or black shorts. During colder days your child can wear their school jumper and black leggings or black tracksuit bottoms. If they are doing gymnastics they will need to also have shorts for safety reasons. Children must also have suitable sports footwear.
